Xmas EP

Dropkick will be releasing a new Christmas EP this year on Swedish label Sound Asleep Records. "25th December" will be available on 7" red vinyl featuring 4 new songs: "I May Never" (featuring guest vocals from Alice Marra Clark of The Hazey Janes), "Up On The Hill", "When Santa Comes Round" and "Christmas In The Cross". A download version will also be available featuring alternative artwork and 2 previously released bonus tracks "Writing To Santa" and "Scampi For Xmas".

Amazing Radio Chart + Interview

Dropkick's song "Only For Yourself" has made it into the Top 10 of the Amazing Radio chart and has been getting lots of airplay on the station recently. You can listen to the staion on DAB in the UK or on the web. You can help keep the band in the chart by playing their songs on their Amazing Tunes page. An interview with Alastair from the band will also be broadcast on the Afternoon Show on Tue 10th August. The show starts at 3pm.

Dropkick will be playing a live acoustic session BBC Radio Scotland's Highland Cafe show on wed 22nd July between 1.15pm and 2pm. The show is broadcast on 92-95Fm in the north of Scotland but can (possibly) also be heard in the rest of the country on BBC Radio nan Gaidheal's frequency range 103-105FM.

Dropkick have returned from a very successful trip to Mallorca. They played to their biggest ever crowd at the Teatre de Lloseta, and also played their longest and latest ever gig in Portocolom, not finishing till after 3am! A big thank you to Joan Andreu from Pecan Pie for organising everything so brilliantly.

BBC Radio Scotland's Janice Forsyth show played "Dot The i" on March 29th.
Moray Firth FM's Don Chisolm played "Rings Of The Tree" on 30th March.
Dutch station Omroep IJsselmond played "Figure It Out" on it's Songriver show on 4th April. They also played "You Didn't Make It" on 28th March and "Good Vibes" on 21st March.
"Open Door" was played on the Plastico Elastico show on Onda Madrid 103.1FM in Spain on 5th April. They also played "Walk Down" on 29th March and "Good Vibes" on 23rd March.
Heartland FM's Other Side Of Country show played "Back Door Key" on 14th and 17th March.
Sunny Govan FM's Radio Switchback show played "Good Vibes" on 20th March and "Rings Of The Tree" on 13th March.
Three From Leith podcast dedicated its entire show to Dropkick on 25th March, playing "Dot The i", "Good Vibes" and "If You Can't Be Mine" plus 3 exclusively recorded live tracks by the band: "Figure It Out", "Obvious" and "Lucky That The Heart", a song from Dropkick's next album. Dropkick also performed 3 songs live on Pulse FM in Glasgow on 30th March. They played acoustic versions of "Figure It Out", "Girlfriend" and "Only For Yourself".
Alastair from the band also played a live solo session for Leith FM on 28th March. He sang "Can't Help It", "Crazy Conversation" and "Figure It Out".

AIRPLAY IN SPAIN AND SCOTLAND

In Spain, the track "Dot The i"" was played on the Plastico Elastico show on Onda Madrid 103.1FM on 9th March and on 15th March they played "Back Door Key".
In Scotland, Black Diamond FM played "Dot The i" on March 6th and Moray Firth FM's Don Chisolm show played "Back Door Key" on March 9th and "Crazy Conversation" on March 16th.
BBC Radio Scotland's Tom Morton also played "Dot The i" on 17th March.

ALBUM OF THE WEEK

17th March 2008
"Dot The i" has been made album of the week on BBC Radio Nan Gaidheal's Rapal programme. A track from the album was played every night from March 3-6. The show can be heard on 103-105 FM in Scotland or online. The tracks "Rings Of The Tree", "Crazy Conversation", "Back Door Key" and "Dot The i" were all played. "Rings Of The Tree" was also played on 28th Feb and "Crazy Conversation" was aired again on March 11th. "Back Door Key" also got another spin on March 17th.
