LIVE RADIO SESSION

Dropkick will be playing some live acoustic tracks on thursday 17th January on Sunny Govan FM's Radio Switchback show between 10pm and midnight. If you're in the Glasgow area you can tune in on 103.5FM. Everyone else can hear the show online at www.sunnygovan.org.

NEW ALBUMS

Dropkick have finished recording their 6th album and it will be released on 29th March with a launch gig at The Ark in Edinburgh. The album is the first to feature Alastair's pedal steel playing. Three of the tracks are already available to hear on Dropkick's Myspace page.
A second album for 2008 has also been pencilled in for a summer release. Recording of this album has already finished too.

AIRPLAY IN USA

The SoupyGato podcast from America played a new Dropkick song "Dot The i" on one of its special Scottish Showcase shows on 20th November 2007. Listen here.

DROPKICK ON CHILDREN IN NEED

Andrew and Roy from the band played five acoustic songs on BBC Radio Scotland's Tom Morton Show on fri 16th Nov. It was a special show for Children In Need and was broadcast live from the BBC headquarters in Glasgow.

ALBUM CHART

Dropkick have just found out that their album "Turning Circles" reached no.7 in the Americana UK album chart in July. The album chart is also featured in Maverick magazine.

RECENT AIRPLAY

A track from the band's forthcoming album was given an exclusive play on 2nd October. The Three From Leith podcast played the song "Dot The i". The track will not be available to hear anywhere else until next year so go to their website for a listen...
The Rapal programme on BBC Radio nan Gaidheal played "Wouldn't Hurt To Wait" on Sept 27th.

AIRPLAY UPDATE

XFM Scotland played "Give It Back" on its Music Response show on 20th August. Dropkick won a listener vote which meant that the track was played again on 23rd August.
Two Edinburgh-based podcasts have played Dropkick recently. Three From Leith played "Give It Back" on its 100th show on 24th July. The Miller Tells Her Tale played "To Get To You" on 19th August, "Won't Be There" on 5th August and "One Thing" on 8th July.
